IWA hosts two Hwy 55 cleanups yearly between mile markers 70 and 72 (Cascade Raft and Kayak to Beehive Bend takeout).

We will have our 1st 2023 semi-annual cleanup on May 13, 2023. The IWA member volunteer group will meet at Beehive Bend at 10:30 am and start to clean up at 10:40 am. The cleanup generally takes about two hours. The most unusual find wins river swag!

We will bring breakfast treats, coffee, orange vests, garbage bags, and trash grabbers. We suggest wearing gloves and comfortable walking shoes. Do not bring your pooch or young children; this cleanup is along Highway 55 and can sometimes be very busy.

Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering for the cleanup. There will be a short pre-event training meeting for all volunteers, and all volunteers must sign an ITD release at the event before we start.
